20 Years of Mar~Marionetas - Espinho International Puppet Festival.

Over 100 national and international cultural events will take place throughout the month of May. We’ll visit every elementary school in the municipality with performances, activities, and workshops.

We travel through the municipality’s parishes with shows and workshops.

Workshops for youth and adults take place right at the beginning of the month… and starting May 15, we present shows, workshops, exhibitions, films, and games for all audiences.

Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, and Turkey are represented in the program, which also features more than a dozen national companies such as: Ana Madureira & Vahan Kerovpyan; Ángeles de trapo - Compañía de teatro de títeres; ANYMAMUNDY – Teatro de Rua e Criação plástica; Cemal Fatih Polat Karagöz Theater; Fértil Cultural; Fio d’Azeite – Marionetas do Chão de Oliva; Gianluca Di Matteo; Historioscópio - Teatro de Marionetas; Marta Fernandes da Silva; Projetos Culturais - Município de Espinho; Red Cloud Teatro de Marionetas; Rodopio d'Ideias; RTP; S.A.Marionetas – Teatro & Bonecos; Teatro de Marionetas do Porto; Teatro e Marionetas de Mandrágora; Trupe Fandanga / Circolando – Central Elétrica.
