Poetic Flight
The scene takes place in a typically historic urban setting, with houses, barrels, and fountain; with a poetic feeling.
The story revolves around a happy lady who loves reading books and lives each day as if it were her last. The other resident is a shy, lonely young woman who lives in the virtual world without much contact with real life.
However, after a magical touch, she allowed herself to fly.
what the festival has to say
We are bringing to the Festival a proposal that will tour the parishes of the municipality of Espinho. The parishes are punctuated by the presence of miniature theatres, “à la minute”, known in Brazil as lambe-lambe theatre. Taking this program across the territory allows us to enhance our offer to a diverse public, as well as promoting the cultural dimension of our proposals.
Realejo Artes
They arrived in Lisbon in 2018 and began building their first entirely Lusa Theatre Box, inspired by Fernando Pessoa. They performed weekly at the Ler Devagar bookshop in the LX Factory, a relationship they have maintained to this day. They now intend to promote this artistic expression at various events, fairs, and festivals in order to reach a wider audience throughout Portugal.

that's how
It was with great sympathy, kindness and immense availability that they brought us their shows, as well as a desire to project the dimension, value, and importance that this type of theatre, born in the culture of Brazil, has. It is now possible to find festivals throughout Europe, particularly in Bulgaria, that are entirely dedicated to this type of theatre, performed only for one spectator at a time. Bearing in mind that these shows are of short or very short duration, there is no doubt that this act of a single spectator allows you an exclusivity that enhances you as an individual who enjoys exclusively an artistic work made by the puppeteer.
We are very hopeful that the dream that this company has of projecting Lambe-Lambe theatre and expanding it in its artistic dimension and appreciation, with the aim of achieving a national meeting of Lambe-Lambe theatres, will be possible. Lambe-lambe theatres remind us of the old cameras that many of us used to see as children, sitting on a horse while the photographer hid behind a cloth taking a picture or a plate, scattered throughout the territory, and still rarely found today. Who doesn't remember seeing these photographers in Bom Jesus in Braga, in Viana do Castelo, in Póvoa de Varzim and even in Espinho, and so many other places where they are honoured today?
And just as these old men of photography travelled the land, so too does this company.
