Scare

The scarecrow does its job: it scares away the crow, which is a nuisance. The crow lays an egg, sets up a tent, and opens a crack to a new world. But there’s going to be trouble… because of the eye. Vicente the crow, the innocent scarecrow, the dormant eye, goodbye to the past, get out of the way—now it’s our turn to shape the present!

Ana Madureira and Vahan Kerovpyan work in the fields of theater, music, visual arts, and education. They create performances, workshops, and publications for children, families, and adults. With a refined visual and artistic language, simple and intuitive symbolism, and original texts and music that trace a dramaturgical and narrative design rich in subtle layers, they seek to reach an essence that approaches the simplicity and complexity of a child’s language. Through a poetic and provocative approach, and with the desire to inspire independence of thought and action in children and those who accompany them, they have explored essential themes of life, such as marginality, friendship, courage, the capacity for change, and dreams.

In their artistic practice, they work with live music, proximity to the audience, humor, poetry, recycling, and serious issues.
