In keeping with the company’s tradition of creating content for young children, this show is aimed at children and families. The production is based on the concepts of multiculturalism, identity, time, origin, and shared space.

It explores reflections on the image of ourselves, others, the inner world, and the outer world. It embraces song, poetry, movement, and imagery within a unique, dreamlike setting, in a universe filled with puppets and moving objects.

Time will slow down at the Espinho Auditorium! The Mar~Marionetas Festival presents “Conta Devagar” by the Red Cloud company.

The projects presented by this company are undoubtedly unique and distinctive works that blend puppetry and physical movement on stage, the creation of three-dimensional images with video projection, speech, and sound, all woven together into a singular poetic experience.

We are transported to another time, another rhythm, another way of understanding the story, another way of feeling, of feeling involved in something that happens here, now, right in front of us, created by someone who dedicates their time to us, and to whom we dedicate our time. This is a fundamental act that we must preserve, maintain, and foster among all of us; it is something precious. It is often said to actors that the stage is sacred, but setting those words aside and keeping the idea, it is undoubtedly a privileged space, a space of peace, a democratic act, an act that builds, nourishes, and sows, and that must be protected by all of society as a fundamental asset for communities.

This production, which we are pleased to host, is aimed at a very young audience, a family audience, and is therefore at the very heart of the Espinho International Puppet Festival’s program.

Red Cloud Teatro de Marionetas

A Portuguese company founded in 2013. Award-winning and with a solid professional artistic background, it presents itself to children and adults with the creation and circulation of shows, educational services, and programming Motus Imago puppets, forms, and things in motion.

Taking cinematic experience as its starting point and based on the motto “things in motion,” it expands and develops its artistic language. In a limbo between tradition and contemporaneity, it fulfils its mission of preserving, disseminating, and circulating the popular Portuguese tradition of puppetry “Teatro Dom Roberto.”
