The Bellhop, inspired by the golden age of the big hotels, where the bellhop jumped to the sound of the bell.

For the employees, the receptionist, and the bellhop, a clumsy and lazy puppet, every day is the same day. A day’s work… but the visit of a demanding and refined customer will change the day.

From Barcelona, we bring you a show that develops the incredible technique of string puppets. This creation will enchant anyone, whether it's because of the narrative presented or because of the dexterity that this puppet manipulation technique requires. And here the puppets are, alive and full of feeling. It is therefore a challenging moment to be able to watch this creation, and no one will remain indifferent.

Hilarilar - Teatro de Marionetas

Laura Cortés, actress and puppeteer. Since 2006 she works as an actress in several theater companies in Granada (Spain). Since 2011 she lives in Barcelona where she discovers the disturbing world of puppets in the Taller Marionetas de Pepe Otal, there she is part of the puppet company Fills de Fusta (2016-2018), winner of the World Puppet Festival in 2016 (San Sebastian) and they travel with their show in Asia and Europe. Participating in renowned festivals: Suwon Hwaseong Theatre Festival (South Korea), Titirijai Puppet Festival Tolosa (Spain), Charleville Mesieur Puppet Festival (France), among others and touring streets and squares of Spain and France.

In 2019, she formed her own company, of which she is creator and director.
